It goes without saying that we are treating our environment and natural resources in a responsible manner. We place a high priority on resource efficiency. We feel obligated to act sustainably.

What can we do to preserve natural resources? What can we do to effectively protect our environment? What can we do to bring together economic benefits, technical progress and environmental protection under one banner? These, as well as other questions concerning the environment, have been a key part of our focus for a very long time.

This is evidenced by the DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification that we have had since 2000, and the DIN EN ISO 5001:2018 energy management certification that we have had since 2012.

We replace non-renewable resources (fossil fuels, metals etc.) with renewable equivalents wherever possible. The issue of minimizing resource consumption (energy, water, raw materials etc.) has always been a priority for us, and we endeavor to keep waste material to a minimum as much as we possibly can. Whenever it is not possible, we always recycle any waste material we generate.

We limit our use of hazardous substances to an absolute minimum. And we carry out an annual review to make sure we continue to do so.

We feel obligated to act sustainably, and stand for the reduction of CO2 emissions. Our objective is to be completely CO2 neutral by 2045.
